Equerapy is located within the York, North Yorkshire area.

("Equerapy" or "We" or "Us" or "Our").

 

Equerapy is a Therapuetic Learning Environment for the provision of Equine Facilitated Learning and Counselling. You can book a session, with us. All bookings can be done directly or through our website ("Contact").

 

These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all provisions of services whether booked with us directly or through our website and confirmed by Equerapy ("Clients" or "You").

 

Terms - Intepretation

 

Booking - means making by you of a booking for provision of services.

 

Client - means an individual whom recieves services.

 

Contract - means the legally-binding agreement between you and us for the supply of the services.

 

Confidentiality - means any information about an individual whether held on paper, computer, visually or audio recorded or held in the memory of the professional, must not normally be disclosed without the consent of the client. All information will remain completely confidential unless the client and professional agree to discuss something with a third party. The only time when such confidentiality may need to be broken would be if there was a serious risk of harm to the client's life, or if there was a serious risk of harm to another's life, any child safeguarding concerns, or risk of terrorism. Despite the above scenarios, every effort will be made to keep client confidentiality and all situations in which confidentiality may need to be broken will be discussed at length with the client beforehand.

 

Charges - means monies payable by you to Equerapy for our provision to you of the services outlined at the time of booking.

 

Controller - has the meaning given in GDPR.

 

Data Protection - means the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

 

Deposits - Payment of deposits to Equerapy are taken on a non-refundable basis. The retention of a deposit by Equerapy is a genuine estimate of loss. We will take resonable steps to reduce our loss, however administrative charges need to be covered.

 

Event Outside Our Control - means any act or event beyond our resonable control, including pandemics, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, of failure of public or private telecommunications networks.

 

GDPR - means regulation on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

 

Intellectual Property Rights - means copyright and related rights, trade marks and service marks, trade names and domain names, rights under licenses, rights in get-up, rights to goodwill or to sue for passing off or unfair competition, patents, rights to inventions, rights in designs, rights in computer software, database rights, rights in confidential information (including know-how and trade secrets) and any other intellectual property rights, in each case whether registered or unregistered and including all apllications (or rights to apply) for and all similar or equivalent rights or forms of protection which subsist or will subsist now or in the future in any part of the world.

 

Processor - has the meaning given in the General Data Protection Regulation.

Payment - payment is normally made at the end of each session, or paid in advance for a set number of sessions. We currently accept cash, bank transfer, or card payments. Equerapy will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible in terms of holidays or of any other need to cancel future appointments.

 

Conditions

 

Cancellation Policy - If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. The required notice for cancellation is 24 hours. Where there is less notice, or if you fail to attend your appointment, the full fee will be charged. We hope clients can understand that it is rarely possible to fill last minute cancellations which is why we are obliged to charge for the practicianers time.

 

Ethics + Insurance - Equerapy subscribes to the BACP code of ethics for counsellors and to the ACCPH code of ethics for Equine Facilitated Practicianers, copies of which are available on request.

All professionals working at Equerapy are insured for professional liability and maintain regular supervision for all client work undertaken.

 

Interlectual Property Rights - Equerapy is the absolute legal and beneficial owner of the name and any other name or logo owned by Equerapy from time to time ("Equerapy Trade Marks") you shall not have any right to use or reproduce any Equerapy Trade Mark.
